AGUSTIN FERNANDEZ Construction 1978
While looking at this piece you will, at first, be confused. This is what happens when you cross established boundaries of art, or at least, what they (whoever they are) tell us what is expected.
You might want to squint at this work, for Fernandez has let the genie out of the bottle. The butterfly is extracting the precious nectar from the flower.
What flower you might ask, well it is created in the white space around the butterfly and that is why, I asked you to squint, but once you know your way into this avant-garde stone printed lithograph, you will find yourself returning to this Elysian environment on a regular basis – Enjoy! – M.J.
